NEW: ISU's Jake Kelly denies transfer report

TERRE HAUTE — Indiana State guard Jake Kelly remains just that for the moment ... an Indiana State guard.



A Thursday report in a Des Moines (Iowa) Register blog cited unnamed sources in Iowa and at Indiana State that Kelly was considering a transfer back to the University of Iowa, where he had transferred to ISU from in March.



"It is 100 percent just a rumor. There's no truth to me going back to Iowa," said Kelly in a Thursday phone conversation. "There's been no consideration on my part to go back."



Kelly said he wasn't sure about the genesis of the information, but said it was possible something he said to someone else was misinterpreted or that friends in Iowa have perpetuated the possibility of his return.



Kelly is in the initial stages of rehabilitation for the torn ACL he suffered in a game at Southern Illinois on Dec. 29. He is out for the remainder of the season.
